Hi, I’m Praveeni Chamathka, an independent artist & designer from sunny Sri Lanka.

I’m a multi-passionate creative with a love for digital illustration, brand identity design, and fashion. Grounded by a strong foundation in design principles and a passion for storytelling, I visualise ideas through thoughtful, striking, and purposeful design.

I bring a keen eye for detail, a distinctive style, and a deep commitment to quality in everything I do, from illustrating original artworks to crafting bespoke brand assets.

My Philosophy

I believe in creating visuals that are both beautiful, and has meaning beyond the surface. Illustrations and designs that go a step further than embellishment and hold meaning. From subject matter to compositions, colours, references, and textures.

For everything I create, I take an integrated approach that combines beauty and function.

Grounded in intention

Every creative decision made along my process, can be traced back to an intentional directive that allows the artwork or the design to be productively constrained.

Quality over quantity

An approach that has extended beyond my creative practise, and has become something to live by. Over the years, I have refined my ability to edit, which is a creative strength I cherish the most.

The Bigger Picture

I believe that context is a significant aspect of illustration & design. Where the references come from, and where the final visual goes on to live, are vital considerations to my process.

Fun facts about me

If I had choose, I’d pick going to the mountains over going to a beach. This may be biased, since I grew up in the mountains.
Or a sunset. Be it an early alarm, a hike, or both. I will go to great lengths to catch one.
Blessed to live in an island that gives me access to plenty of it, fresh and straight from the trees.
Yoga is my practise of choice to align the mind, body, & spirit.
